When you invest in your crawl space, you should know what protection comes with the work. The Crawl Shield provides written warranties on qualifying services and products, with coverage varying by the specific system or service.
Your applicable warranty information will be provided with your project documentation.
Warranty coverage is subject to the specific terms, conditions, exclusions, and requirements stated in the applicable written warranty.

Crawl Space Encapsulation
Lifetime warranty on qualifying encapsulation materials and craftsmanship.
Our encapsulation warranty covers qualifying system materials and the craftsmanship involved in the installation, subject to the terms and exclusions of the written warranty.
Crawl Space EncapsulationVapor Barriers
10-year warranty on qualifying vapor barrier materials and installation.
6 mil vapor barrier installations carry a 1-year warranty.
Water & Moisture Mitigation
Lifetime warranty on qualifying water and moisture mitigation materials and craftsmanship.
Coverage applies to qualifying water and moisture mitigation systems installed by The Crawl Shield, subject to the terms and exclusions of the written warranty.
Crawl Space Water MitigationDehumidifiers
5-year warranty on qualifying crawl space dehumidifiers.
Crawl Space EncapsulationFungal Treatment
1-year warranty on qualifying fungal treatment.
Exclusions apply.
Warranty coverage is subject to the specific conditions, exclusions, and requirements stated in the written fungal treatment warranty.
Mold & Fungal TreatmentFloor Supports
Warranty on qualifying floor support materials and craftsmanship for the life of the structure.
Coverage applies to qualifying floor support systems installed by The Crawl Shield and is subject to the terms and exclusions of the written warranty.
Floor Support SystemsWhat Does “Lifetime” Mean?
When we state that a qualifying system carries a lifetime warranty, the coverage is for the applicable material and/or craftsmanship described in the written warranty for the duration specified by that warranty. It does not mean that every component, accessory, piece of equipment, or condition associated with the project is covered for life.
This is important because some projects contain multiple products with different warranty periods.
What Is Covered
Our warranties may cover:
- Qualifying materials identified in the applicable warranty
- Qualifying installation craftsmanship
- Covered defects or failures specifically identified in the applicable warranty
- Applicable warranty service as described in the written warranty
Important Warranty Exclusions
Warranties do not automatically cover every condition that may occur in or around a crawl space. Coverage depends on the specific warranty and its terms.
Exclusions may include, where applicable:
- –Damage caused by conditions outside the warranted system
- –New or continuing water intrusion outside the scope of the installed system
- –Plumbing leaks or other unrelated water sources
- –Alterations, modifications, or damage caused after installation
- –Damage caused by other contractors or third parties
- –Improper use, neglect, or failure to maintain applicable equipment
- –Normal wear and tear where applicable
- –Conditions specifically excluded by the applicable written warranty
Exclusions vary by warranty.
Fungal treatment carries a 1-year warranty with exclusions. Continued moisture, water intrusion, elevated humidity, leaks, or other conditions that contribute to fungal growth may affect warranty coverage as specified in the written warranty.
Your Warranty Is Provided in Writing
Your proposal and project documentation will identify the warranties applicable to the work being performed. Because different products and services carry different warranty periods, your written warranty is the controlling document for your specific project.

Except for the specific warranties expressly provided in writing for qualifying products, services, materials, and craftsmanship listed above, The Crawl Shield does not provide additional warranties beyond those stated in the applicable written warranty.
Warranty, Free One-Year Checkup & Maintenance
Warranty
Your applicable written warranty describes what is covered, for how long, and under what conditions. Warranty coverage varies by service and product and is subject to the terms of the written warranty.
Free One-Year Checkup
Every service we sell includes a complimentary one-year checkup, a follow-up evaluation of the work The Crawl Shield performed to make sure everything is performing as it should. The checkup is not a warranty and does not extend or change warranty coverage.
Optional Maintenance
After your checkup, homeowners who want continued professional oversight can choose an optional maintenance plan with scheduled visits throughout the year. Maintenance is separate from both the warranty and the free one-year checkup.

Different Components May Have Different Warranty Periods
A single crawl space project may include several different products or services. For example, an encapsulation project may also include a dehumidifier, sump pump, drainage system, or other components. Each item is covered according to its applicable warranty period rather than automatically receiving the warranty period of the overall project.
