Crawl Space Repair & Protection for Middle Tennessee Homes
From crawl space encapsulation and vapor barriers to water mitigation, floor support, and fungal treatment, The Crawl Shield provides complete crawl space solutions for homeowners throughout Middle Tennessee.
Not every crawl space needs the same solution. We identify the source of the problem first, then recommend the appropriate combination of moisture control, drainage, encapsulation, dehumidification, structural repair, or other services.
Local Knowledge. Direct Communication. Thorough Inspections.
We're not here to sell you everything we can put under your house. We're here to determine what your crawl space actually needs.
Thorough
Every inspection covers moisture, water intrusion, humidity, drainage, ventilation, insulation, and visible structural and wood conditions — so recommendations address what's actually happening.
Fair
Recommendations are based on the actual conditions of your crawl space, not a one-size-fits-all package. If something doesn't need fixing, we say so.
Reliable
We show up when we say we will, and we've completed hundreds of projects across Murfreesboro and Middle Tennessee.
Communicative
The owner is involved in your project, and we take the time to explain what we find before you decide anything.
Knowledgeable
25+ years of experience in crawl space repair and encapsulation inform every assessment we make.
Quality
Licensed, insured, and bonded — Tennessee License #12786 — with written warranties on qualifying services and products.
Every Project Includes a Free One-Year Checkup
Every service we sell includes a complimentary one-year checkup so we can come back, review the work, and make sure everything is performing as it should. It's our way of standing behind the work we perform.
The free one-year checkup is a follow-up evaluation of work performed by The Crawl Shield. It is separate from the applicable written warranty and separate from the optional maintenance program.
Project Completed
We complete the work you approved and provide the applicable written warranty documentation.
FREE One-Year Checkup
Within the first year, we come back to review the work and make sure everything is performing as it should.
Optional Ongoing Maintenance
After your checkup, homeowners who want continued professional oversight can choose an optional maintenance plan.

"Had a great visit with Mark Rader today about my mold and encapsulation of my crawl space. He was very professional, explained everything thoroughly and answered all my questions. I'm still getting estimates but I feel very confident in the work this company would do."
"Mark was amazing! Had a leak in my basement and thought it was coming from the walls, but turns out it was my washer. He could have walked in there and scammed me for business. I would've believed honestly anything he said, but he told that truth regardless. You cannot beat that type of business or personality in today's world."
"We needed crawl space repairs done before closing on our home sale. The Crawl Shield got it done on a tight timeline and the buyer's inspector gave it a clean bill of health. Saved our deal!"
"We had standing water under our house and a musty smell we couldn't get rid of. The Crawl Shield came out the same week, explained everything clearly, and did a full encapsulation. No more smell, no more moisture. Highly recommend!"
"Our floors were bouncing and sagging in the hallway. Mark's team installed steel support jacks and reinforced the beams — the difference was immediate. Honest pricing and great quality work."
